With an abundance of loot, materials, and bundles, inventory management is one of the biggest challenges in Guild Wars 2. With only five bag slots available to each character without real money transactions, acquiring bags with plenty of inventory slots is vital to both premium and free-to-play Guild Wars 2 players.

The Mail Carrier Satchel is an excellent way to help alleviate inventory woes for Guild Wars 2 players. To earn the bag, players should log into their ArenaNet account page and click on the Settings tab. Under the Subscription Settings section, simply check the “ArenaNet” and “Guild Wars 2” boxes under Email Preferences. Once they do, the satchel will be mailed to their character in game soon after, if not immediately. If players have already done so, Guild Wars 2 will send them the bag automatically, though un-checking and re-checking the boxes seems to work faster.
ArenaNet recommends new Guild Wars 2 players log in and create a character before registering for the newsletters just to be certain the in-game reward is properly sent. Likewise, existing players should make sure they have at least one character with an open mailbox slot. The promotion does not have a listed end date, but players should be sure to register soon, in case it becomes a limited-time promotion.
The largest bags Guild Wars 2 offers are 32-slot bags, though these are either extremely expensive or difficult to get. Players can buy 24-slot bags in game, though their cost can add up across multiple characters. While veteran players may be able to buy them, this bag is a huge boon for newer Guild Wars 2 players who don’t have as much gold on hand. With the Mail Carrier Satchel being effectively a free giveaway, players are flocking to the website to sign up–so much so that the site is struggling to keep up.
Guild Wars 2 is currently re-releasing Living World Season 1, a lost chapter of its history, as free content for all players. The final chapter of Living World Season 1, “Battle for Lion’s Arch,” goes live on November 8. Players can expect to hear more about what comes next for Guild Wars 2, be it the next Living World season or its confirmed fourth expansion pack, after the new year. Thanks to the Mail Carrier Satchel, Guild Wars 2 players will have plenty of space to gather all the sweet loot to be found on their next adventure.
Guild Wars 2 is available for PC.
