The open-world nature and creativity that goes along with GTA Online mean that things can go a little wacky in that particular game world from time to time. Usually, that wackiness unfolds in some absolutely over-the-top Grand Theft Auto Online violence, to the point where people can’t step out of their own apartment buildings without being showered with bullets. However, every once in a while, the game just glitches out in a very big way. That’s what happened to one Reddit user who saw their characters get fused together.

Reddit user Kingfox4290 posted a picture of their “new” character that is just a rather hilarious combination of their male GTA Online character and their female GTA Online character. The character is shown sporting a black t-shirt that allows people to see the fact that it has tattoos up and down their arms. The shirt also shows off what is obviously a female chest as well. The face of the character looks vaguely feminine, though it also has a full beard and shoulder-length black hair.

In-game glitches are not particularly rare, as evidenced by the player who recently announced their GTA Online agency employee had simply gone missing. However, this glitch seems to be on another level as it’s not a situation where an NPC isn’t where it’s supposed to be. This time the game took what is supposed to be totally different save files and managed to somehow meld them together.

Other Reddit users joked that this was actually the result of a mission in GTA Online and that it was supposed to happen. Yet another user claimed it had happened to their character recently as well.

Just what causes this kind of thing to happen in the game isn’t really known, but one would hope things will get patched out so it doesn’t happen again. It’s possible that when Grand Theft Auto Online gets its PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrade next month, those kinds of errors will be polished out.

Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online remasters are scheduled to release in March 2022 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
