On his official Facebook page, Luke uploaded an image of GTA 5’s protagonists (Michael, Franklin and Trevor). Although the image has “coming to a con near you” written on it and is captioned with “it’s a new year we gonna do this tour thing”, some fans have assumed that it’s a ruse. With fans beginning to speculate, Luke commented that although “EVERYBODY wants single player DLC”, he knows “nothing about that”. In fact, the actor even went on to say that he has no idea “when it’s gonna happen or even IF it’s gonna happen”.

However, while Luke stressed that he and his co-stars (Shawn Fonteno and Steven Ogg) are eager to “meet so many of our fans that we have been unable to meet in the past” some fans are still unconvinced that this is the only meaning of the post. Not only would a convention be the perfect place to announce some DLC, but fans also point to recent teasers from Fonteno. In an interview, the actor confirmed that he was working with Rockstar Games on the DLC and more recently, he posted an image of him in a mo-cap suit at (what appeared to be) Rockstar’s offices.

Could it just be that Michael (and Trevor) won’t feature in the Grand Theft Auto 5 story DLC? And that this is a Franklin solo effort? While it would also explain why Fonteno is teasing the content but Luke knows nothing about it, it seems highly unlikely. All the way back in December 2013 Rockstar said that there were plans for “substantial additions in 2014”, regarding “Michael, Franklin, and Trevor’s action, mayhem, and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas”.

It’s true that those content plans may have changed (that planned release window has, at least) but with fans appreciating all three lead characters, many will be disappointed if Rockstar does choose not to bring all three of them back.
